Would he or she be interested in learning how officers are trained and participating in hands-on scenarios drawn from real-life situations? This is your chance to sign your teen up for a one-of-a-kind look at being a deputy, from use of force protocols to firearm training simulators.

The 2022 Teen Academy Summer Camp is a week-long program that immerses participants in the world of law enforcement. The material covered is the same as that presented to local high schools, with a little extra, including our firearms training simulator and Emergency Vehicle Operation Course, where students will participate as passengers in a training pursuit. The camp is open to teens who are, or will be, in grades 9-12 at the start of the fall semester 2022, roughly ages 14-17. Registration in the camp requires parental consent and a signed waiver.
The Summer Camp is from July 25th to July 29th 9am-12pm and will be held at the Richard and Meg Weekley Community Center located at 8440 Greenhouse Rd. in Cypress, 77433.
Each participant, regardless of age, must have a signed waiver from a parent or legal guardian, and contact information for that parent or legal guardian must be included in the online registration.
