Stay alert to local weather updates at City of Katy Office of Emergency Management
Tropical Storm Beta has given the City of Katy about 5.5" rain thus far, and the city is anticipating more rounds of rain throughout today. Some areas on the coastal front are battling flooding, but most inland areas, including the City, are just getting much-needed, slow rain. These conditions will hang around until Wednesday and then will push out of the area.
There are currently no road closures within the Katy city limits, but please be mindful when you travel. Take your time and be safe; remember that stopping distance can easily double on wet roads. In rainy weather, slow down and leave extra space between cars. Never drive through flooded roadways. TURN AROUND DON'T DROWN. You can visit www.drivetexas.org or

The city will remain vigilant for any changes to this forecast. You can stay alert to local weather updates at City of Katy Office of Emergency here
