The City of Sugar Land is keeping an eye on the Gulf of Mexico
Sugar Land emergency planners are keeping an eye on a tropical depression in the Gulf of Mexico. Weather forecasters expect further development with the possibility of a Tropical Storm or Hurricane next week. Their confidence in long-range forecast for the storm’s intensity and track is low; however, our region remains within the cone of probability through next week. While it may not be necessary, it’s a good idea to remain vigilant and be prepared as hurricane season continues through November. Keep gas tanks full, and stock up on emergency supplies. Continue to pay close attention to authoritative sources of weather information such as the National Weather Service and the National Hurricane Center. Prepare now by visiting
